ALPM Ball (Nov. 14)

A Civil War Era Ball was hosted by the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum on Nov. 14. The 33rd Illinois Volunteer Regiment Band played polkas, waltzes, reels, and other dance music for a large crowd of reenactors in period gowns and suits of the time. A moment of silence was offered for the victims of the tragic events in Paris, France. And the band closed the event with a rousing rendition of “La Marseillaise”, the French national anthem.
